What is your first recommendation for hiking?
We recommend three trails along Howland Hill Road in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, part of Redwood National and State Parks. From the north entrance, our order is Stout Memorial Grove, Grove of Titans, then Boy Scout Tree Trail. We also love Howland Hill Road itself as a scenic drive—not a hiking trail. Just need drive about 30 minutes.
Where can we go for dinner?
We recommend Black Trumpet Bistro in Brookings, Chart Room Restaurant at Crescent City harbor, and House of Howonquet at Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel. House of Howonquet is closest to us—our easy choice when we are tired and would rather not drive to Brookings. Both towns have many more restaurants to explore on Google Maps or Yelp.
What is the cancellation and payment policy?
Cancellation is free. Payment is due at check-in.
Is breakfast included?
Yes. A home-style Chinese breakfast is included for registered guests.
How far are Redwood National Park, Crescent City, and Brookings?
Redwood National and State Parks are about a 30-minute drive. Crescent City is about a 20-minute drive. Brookings is about a 10-minute drive.

Do rooms have ocean or river views?
Our Ocean Riverfront Master Room, Ocean & Riverfront Suite, and Ocean & Riverfront House 175 offer ocean and Smith River views. Our Garden View Room faces the garden and forest.
What should I know if I am traveling with an animal?
No animals of any kind are allowed anywhere on the property, including pets, emotional-support animals and service dogs. This is our private family home.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property. Tobacco, marijuana, vaping, and drug odors are not permitted anywhere on the property or inside guest rooms. These rules help protect our family’s health and maintain a clean, comfortable environment for all guests.
Do rooms have private bathrooms?
Yes. Every room and lodging option at Arky’s BnB has its own private bathroom.

Notice： We are allergic to animal hair so we don't welcome pets, even service dogs or similar ，we refuse entry property. It is for our own physical safety. We DO NOT like the smell of tobacco, marijuana and other drugs and are not welcome and forbidden in our property.
